Smartdiary's unique smart-sync architecture enables your business to share calendars and contacts across your LAN, remote offices and even to mobile users, ensuring that the relevant information is always to hand, wherever you are.

  • Efficient, reliable and secure
  • Operates on your LAN or remotely
  • No server required
  • Inherent disaster recovery

Architecture

Smart-sync emulates the very latest distributed computing environmentsusing the Microsoft Smart-client architecture. Every user has their owndatabase of contacts and appointments ensuring fast and efficient access to their dataset.  Smart-sync facilitates updates between users based on usagealgorithms - the more you use Smartdiary, the closer to real-time theupdates occur between users.

Speed

Increased speed is enabled through the Smart-sync and the Smart-client architecture.  Working with local data between the user interface and the application layer givesa fast response whilst the data flow between users is implemented via paging to enable fast and efficientdata distribution, reducing repetition and the potential for errors.

Replication

Disaster recovery is inherently built-in to your Smartdiary, using the Smartdiary Data Vault (sDV).  With every user havinga set or sub-set of your database, should you have a disaster such as losing acomputer, simply re-install Smartdiary on your new PC and within minutes your Smartdiarywill be as you left it.

No Server Required

The distributed nature of smartdiary and the way it emulates peer to peer computingmeans you do not require a server to share your contacts and calendar. This latest Smart-sync technology acts as the'middle man' sharing your data across your organisation to reducecosts and increase performance.
